TOO TALKATIVE.
IRISH GOVERNOR-GENERAL. RESIGNATION AIAY FOLLOAV. DUBLIN, Dec. 1. • The resignation of Air T. Healey, Governor-General of the Irish' Free State, is imminent: A fortnight ago Mr Healey, speaking at a public dinner in Dublin, praised the Government and criticised the Opposition. The matter was submitted to the Dail Eirean. The President, Air Cosgrave, stated that the Government was not responsible for Mr Healy’s speech, and that the Governor-General informed him he had been misrepresented. The newspapers, however, prominently published statements declaring that their reports were accurate in all essentials and corroborated by auditors.
Mr Timothy Michael Healy, K.C., who has been Governor-General of the Irish Free State since 1922, was formerly a prominent barrister and Irish Nationalist AI.P. at AVestminster. He has written extensively on Irish topics.
