PERSONAL. (From Our Own Correspondent.) WOODVILLE, Sept. 10. Miss Warren, of Palmerston North, is the guest of Mrs J. I, N. Mackie, of Kumeroa. ■ Rev. G. B. Stephenson, of Dannevirke, conducted the evening service in the Holy Trinity Church, Woodville, on Sunday last. Miss V. Holman, of Masterton, was the guest of Mrs C. Mackie, Kumeroa, for the weok-end. Mrs Burnett, of Woodville, is spending a short holiday in Napier. The Anglican Church have decided to erect a church building at Kumeroa and a meeting to finalise arrangements is to be held at Kumeroa on Friday next. During the past week surveyors have been engaged in taking levels for the proposed road to link up the Ballance bridge with the main Manawatu Gorge Road. The present. Gorge bridge is in a bad state of repair and the necessary renewal work cannot be completed until all traffic over the bridge is suspended.
