COLLEGE STREET SCHOOL.
MONTHLY COMMITTEE MEETING.
The monthly meeting of the College Street School Committee was held last evening, Mr H. A. Hamilton presiding. Also present were Messrs C. S. Peese, F. H. Tucker, B. F. Barlow, and P. W Barnard (secretary). An apology for absence was received from Mr W. R. Taylor. The sum of £9 for incidental expenses was received from the Wanganui Education Board. The board also advised that work would be commenced on tho new infant block as soon as possible. In connection with the drainage of tire site of the new infant school, the chairman stated that the chairman and architect of the board had been deputed to meet the committee and allocate the amount of the board’s grant. It was decided to call for tenders for the drainage of the site, the full committee to discuss these and to forward a recommendation to the board. Accounts totalling £l9 2s were passed for payment.
