Received September 10, 10 a.m. LONDON, Sept, 9. A message from Vigo (north-west Spain) states that preserving admirable order and discipline, all the passengers, 60 in number, and the crew of 150, were safely landed when the liner Highland Pride struck a rock outside the harbour during the heavy rainstorm. All the life-saving orders were carried out with precision and calmness. The passengers, taking their cue from tho stewards, calmly collected their valuables and boarded the allotted boats.

When all the passengers were afloat Captaiu Alford shouted from the bridge the name of an hotel where they would find accommodation ready. Meanwhile the engineers and firemen drew the fire in order to prevent an explosion. Trawlers were summoned by wireless and towed tlie boats to port. All of them arrived safely, but the passengers were drenched with rain.

The Highland Pride is stuck fast on the rocks, badly holed and half submerged. The captain was loth to leave the ship, but the officers seized him ancr carried him to a boat.
