DRAMATIC COUP ATTEMPTED. ’BUS LOADED WITH MAILS. (Australian Press Association). Received September 14, 9.15 a.m. DELHI, Sept. 13. Seven bandits travelling as passengers on a ’bus loaded with mails, between Pajshalii and Nator, Bengal, attempted a dramatic coup. \Vli£u the ’bus reached a lonely spot after uark, a passenger asked the driver to stop, stating that lie' had dropped his watch on the road. The bandits alighted, whipped out revolvers and fired at the tyres, puncturing them. They stabbed the mail guard, who pluckily resisted, and decamped. The mails are reported to bo intact.
