RONGOTEA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) - RONGOTEA, Sept. 14. The local Methodist Church was filled to capacity on tho occasion of the visit of the young Maori • concert party, in charge of Sister Nicholls. A most enjoyable concert, consisting of solos, concerted items, poi dances, and haka, was rendered. The blending of the voices of the performers was exceedingly pleasing and all present highly appreciated tho excellent programme. Sister Nicholls gave a short but interesting address concerning the work of the missionaries among the Maoris and Europeans in the back-blocks of the King Country. Misses J. Tunnicliffo and N. Walworth, who have been visiting Rongotea have returned to the Canterbury Training College.
