SUMMER SPORT.
NORTHERN CLUB. A meeting of the general committee of the Northern Bowling, Croquet and Tennis Club was held on Friday, Mr P. S. Larcomb presiding over a good attendance representative of each section. It was reported that the greens were in excellent order. Nine new members of various sections wero elected. October 9 was fixed as the date of the official opening of the season. Two umpire stands for four leiinis courts, new tennis nets and new hoops and clips for the croquet lawns were authorised to be obtained.
