NEXT YEAR’S TEST. Received September 14, 2 p.m. MELBOURNE, Sept. 14. The Cricket Board of Control appointed Mr AV. Kelly, of Victoria, manager, ana Mr T. Hovard, of New South Wales, treasurer, of the cricket team that will visit England in 1930. Dr. Dolling, of South Australia, and Messrs Ryder, of Victoria and R. Jones, of New South Wales, have been appointed selectors. It was decided to allow professional journalist players to write for the Press up to the time of selection, but the board will not approve of the selection of players who contribute articles for the Press commenting on the play in any first-class match, or on the prospects of any player.
