SUPREME COURT.
TWO RESERVED JUDGMENTS. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Sept. 16. Two reserved decisions in cases heard before Mr Justice Kennedy at the last session of the Supreme Court in Invercargill were delivered this afternoon.
In an action in which Walter Read, Peter Abernethy and John Pagan sought an injunction restraining the Red Band Taxis (Southland), Ltd., from carrying on business in Invercargill under that name, His Honour granted an injunction as sought, and defendants were ordered to pay costs. In ,an action in which Henry Edgington and Louis Bernstone sought a declaration that certain rates levied by tho Waihopai River Board were invalid, it was held that an injunction should issue to restrain defendants from proceeding to collect an invalid rate.
