LINTON RIFLE CLUB.

The final stage of the championship and club handicap series of the Linton Rifle Club was reached on Alonday evening when J. McAvinue was successful in the championship and H. Hosking in the club handicap. The possible in each case was 1000, J. AlcAvinue’s score being 9SI, with H. Alltree and F. Lewis tying for runnerup with 976 each. Hosking’s score in the handicap was 973 (hep. 15) total 988; H. Wagstaff, 96-1-21-988; H. Alltree 976-9-985; W. Salmon, 973-12-985. ft is interesting to note that AlcAvinue, although only a junior shot, lias annexed three championships in the course of one season, having also won the Linton Club’s 303 championship for 1928-29 and the New ZeaZealancl Tyro champion at Trentham in February, 1929.
