SPRING SHOW

RONGOTEA HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

(From Our Own Correspondent). RONGOTEA, Sept. 18. The Rongotea, Horticultural Society’s seventeenth annual Bulb Show was hold in the Coronation Hall yestorclay. Despite the inclemency of the weather, thoro was an exceedingly large display of spring blooms, which wore greatly admired by visitors to the 6how. Tho entries for tho numerous classes were of a very high order, and some very fino specimens were on view. There were 450 entries, which is a record for the Rongotea Bulb Show, and is over 100 more than were taken for the last Bulb Show. The stewards were: Mrs J. Will, Mr J. C. Glever, Mr W. Bond, Mrs Morcom, Mrs Sandei;cock, Misses M. Davison and V. Hobbs. Points prizes were donated by.—Messrs E. Dear, J. C. Glover, CCiocbetto, G. A. Aggett, Mesdames, W. J. Davis and A. Burgess. Tho show was declared officially open by Mr J. Linklater, M.P., who proceeded from Rongotea to Levin to perform a like duty there. The prize list was as follows: OPEN CLASS. (Judge : Mr A. J.
