The newly-formed British Olympic Rugby Union is taking steps to cohfer with other British Dominion Unions with a view to participation in Rugby Union games at Hamilton, Ontario, next year. The Yorkshire Observer, referring to the Rugby League match at Batlcy, Australia versus Batlcy, pointedly comments on the dismissal of the scrum half-backs Wood and Kadwcll, the latter being the life and soul of the game. This simply shocked everybody. The referee previously 6aw six players in the respective front rows of the forwards deliberately kicking at each other in a stand-up fracas. No one was sent off. The paper asks when should the referee tako action. To have dismissed the six forwards was quite within his power, but doing so would have spoiled the match.
