BIBLE SOCIETY.
The British and Foreign Bible Society, of which Mrs Porter is organising secretary, _ has been holding branch meetings in and around Feilding. On Wednesday, September 11th, Mrs Porter addressed the P.W.M.U. at the Presbyterian Schoolroom in Feilding, also a meeting of collectors at Mrs Kellow’s residence next day; a meeting at Kimbolton on the Friday; Apiti, Saturday afternoon; Utuwai, on Sunday afternoon, and on Monday a new branch was started at Rangiwahia. On AVednesday last the meeting was at Colyton and on Thursday at Cheltenham. All the meetings have been well attended and" much interest expressed by all the workers and a most encouraging omen is that each branch is extending its borders.
