RECENT BURGLARY.
CAR WANTED FOR POLICE. (By Telegraph—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 20. In the House of Representatives this morning, Mr J. A. Nash drew attention to a recent burglary in Palmerston North when a girl was gagged and locked in a bath room. He suggested that, if the police were supplied with a motor car, they would have a much better chance of following up a clue. Mr D. G. Sullivan pointed out that a burglar could easily got a car, but the police, on the other hand, could not commandeer one.
