SHEEP STEALING.
DECLARED TO BE PREVALENT
(By Telegraph—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 20. Mr W. J. Poison stated in Parliament this morning that a great deal of sheep stealing, far more than was generally known, was going on. He advocated that special efforts should be made to cope with it and that special officers be appointed to deal with sheep stealing which was so prevalent.
