OROUA DOWNS.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) OROUA DOWNS, Sept. 18. A very succeesful ball was held last week, promoted by the referees for injured players in the Te Kawau Sub-Union. The hall was well filled and an enjoyable time was spent. A professional orchestra provided the dance music and extras wero played by Messrs Round and Millard and Miss McKenzie. The trophies won by tho Oroua Downs teams for the season wero on view. Mr L. Sim ns roferoo thanked all present for their attendance and support given. He specially thanked tho ladies who wero holping. A delightful supper was provided and tho evening was quito a success for tho cause.
