RETURN FROM SANDRINGHAM
PREMIER AND DAUGHTER. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Sept. 19. The Prime Minister, Mr Ramsay MacDonald, and Miss Ishbel MacDonald returned to Downing Street to-day from their visit to Sandringham, where they were the guests of the King and Queen. VISIT TO WASHINGTON. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Sept. 19. Final arrangements for Mr MacDonald’s visit to Washington have not been completed yet, but it is understood that Mr MacDonald will be accompanied by Miss Ishbel MacDonald and Lord Arnold, Paymaster-General, who is a close personal friend of the Prime Minister. The office which Lord Arnold holds carries few departmental duties, thus enabling him to take a large share of the general work of the Government. It is expected that the party will also include Mr MacDonald’s private secretary, Miss Rosenberg.
