AUCKLAND, Sept. 20. A letter alleged to have been written in connection with a charge against Jessie Morris of unlawfully using an instrument, resulted in "William Bobbett, aged 36, a labourer, being charged in the Police Court today with unlawfully attempting to obstruct, pervert or defeat the course of justice by attempting to persuade Ivy Alary Moselen to give false evidence. The letter under review was received by the husband of Airs Moselen, who at the time was in Wbangarei, suffering from septicaemia and awaiting a charge to attend the Alagistrate’s Court iat Auckland to give evidence.

Accused pleaded not guilty and was fcommitted to the Supreme Court for ' trial..
