Received September''23 10 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 22. - Discussing the decline in wool prices, the Economist’s correspondent writes: “Consolation may be found in the fact that lower prices will he conducive to increased consumption. “Values are how at a really cheap and attractive level, and a return of confidence is alone necessary. 1 “If the general public could participate in the benefits of cheap wool by being able to buy clothing at correspondingly reasonable prices, the /textile industry would scon .experience a very big improvement. “If a profitable outlet for wool cannot be found at current prices it is a poor look out for the Colonial wool trade.”
