EXCITING CONTEST.

Per Press Association. STRATFORD, Sept. 23. The Hay-Trowern fight on Saturday niglit provided a good contest. Trowern made the fighting from the start to the finish, never letting up in his aggiessive tactics. Throughout he scored with his straight left, landing solid blows. The champion was not too nappy on the journey, but was always a bit ahead on points, scoring in the m-ngnt-ing. In the seventh of the ten rounds Hay got busy sparring for a knockout, but Trowern was too wide awake. In round .eight Hay delivered tivo great, blows designed for a knockout, but botli missed.- In the last two rounds Trowern kept the champion on the move, but could not put on points enough to win.
