DR MARSDEN’S REPORT.

“MANUFACTURE OF GOLD.”

CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 21. The report of Dr. E. Marsden, Director of the Department of Scientific and industrial Research, on an investigation made in Christchurch recently into the claim of Messrs G. P. Aston and H. W. Atack that they are able to manufacture gold by a newly discovered electrical process has been received by Messrs Atack and Aston. To-day Mr Atack was invited by a Star reporter to make Dr. Marsden’s report available for publication, but he declined to do 60. Mr Atack stated that those associated with him in the matter were averse to the publication of the report at the present stage. He would not oom--ment in any way on the nature of the report nor indicate whether it was favourable or unfavourable.
