FARMER’S INJURY.

ATTACKED BY SOW. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 25. While driving some pigs out of a pen on his farm at Kereone, Mr M. Davies was savagely attacked by a sow. Mr T. Eyeton went to his assistance, but the animal knocked him off his feet in a furious rush. Mr Davies wrestled with the animal, which turned suddenly and caught Mr Davies’ right hand in its mouth. Two of his fingers were badly lacerated and tho bones were broken.
