(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS. Sent. 27. Whitebait are now plentiful in the lower reaches of tho Rangitikei, and some good catches have boen reported this week. If tbo water remains clear over the weekend, both banks of tho river will bo lined with fishermen. Tho remains of tho late John Stevenson were interred at Clifton Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, being followed by a representative gathering of town and country friends. Many very beautiful wreaths were laid on the casket. Rev. Mr Stewart read the burial service.
