DIVES THROUGH THE ROPES. There was a sensational ending to the wrestling bout between Walter Browning (14.3) and Billy Meeske (14.2), at Leichhardt Stadium, Sydney, on January 16. In the sixth round Browning, who had been throwing his rival with a series of flying tackles, dived at Meeske, who side-stepped him neatly. Browning went through the ropes, collided with the ring post, and landed on his head outside the ring. He was carried to his dressing room in an unconscious condition and Meeske wa3 awarded the decision. „ - The bout throughout was fierce and marked by illegal tactics, Meeske bejng cautioned 'several times. Browning gained the only fall of the match when he forced Meeske to submit' to a stepover toe-hold just after the start of the fourth round.
