FUTURE OF REVOLUTION
MADRID, Jan. 26. The Red revolution scheduled for yesterday was a failure, though there were outbreaks in several small towns and many consequent arrests. The Jesuits have had little opportunity to protest against their suppression with their chief organ, El Debate, suspended. It is believed that they will leave the country, quietly. •• ' • • • •Educationists are wondering how to replace eminent teachers, who were specialising in- mathematics, physics, and philosophy.
COMMUNIST \ ACTION. BARciLONA, Jan. 26. Troops _ have been ordered hurriedly to Alcorisa, .near Sarpgossa, where the revolutionaries have proclaimed a Communist Government and have seized the municipal funds, the railway and dynamite stores.
