SHELVED UNTIL AFTER CONFERENCE.

Received January 27, 8.5 a.m. WASHINGTON, Jan. 25. The Naval Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives voted to .shelve the Vinson Naval Construction Bill until after the Geneva Conference.

Mr Carl Vinßon, the new Democratic chairman -of the House of Representatives Naval Committee, introduced a Bill calling for a ton-year shipbuilding pro grammo, the building of 120 ships, including four aeroplane carriers, nine cruisers, 85 destroyers, and 22 submarines, at a total cost of about 616,000,000 dollars. President Hoover a few. days ago declined to endorse the Bill.
