COMMONWEALTH BANK.
SYDNEY, Jan. 28. The Commonwealth Bank return for the week ended January 26 shows a further reduction of notes by 600,000. During the past four weeks 2,600,000 notes have been cancelled. Deposits are higher by £82,000. Short-term loans in Australia are less by £436,123.
