INTERPRETATION OF WILL. Per Press Association. ■ CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 30. Giving reserved judgment application concerning the interpretation of the will of the late Sir George Clifford, Mr Justice Adams held that a gift of two-fifths of the residuary fund to the testator’s son, Charles Lewis Clifford, was absolute, but was subject to the trust in favour of the testator’s wife and liable to be divested in the event of his death without leaving issue. The’ Judge said that the testator was disposing of a large estate, but he did not seek the assistance of a skilled draftsman, with unfortunate results. Certain words of instruments, particularly of the first codicil, were insensible.
