WIRTHS’ CIRCUS.
SPLENDID PERFORMANCE
There was a particularly largo attendance at Wirth’s Circus when it showed at Palmerston Nortli last ovening, and the performance was of the same high standard and generous scale which has characterised this attraction in the past. The two leading features of a well-balanced programme wore the brilliant and fearless riding of the Kazbeg Cossacks, who gave a fine exhibition of the equestrian feats performed by riders from the Russian steppes, and the performance by the Uessem equilibrist's, who gave a daring displny__pf balancing. The Four Sylvesters, dainty performers, were prominent.in a fine acrobatic act, and the Misses Wirtli were seen in a spectacular, aerial display. The programme included the customary number of equestrian events, which never fail in their appeal, and the usual clown acts.
