DEMPSEY’S SORROW.

There is a broken thread of romance in the lives of the film star, Miss Estelle Taylor, and Jack Dempsey, the ex-boxing champion, who have lately been disvorced. Dempsey’s lawyer quoted the famous fighter as saying prior to the settlement:— “I must, try to forget the only real love for a woman that has ever entered my life. But when I remember the thousands of dollars—almost millions—that 1 have lavished on my one love, I absolutely refuse to consider any financial settlement. Wo settled all that a year ago. “There has been a real heartache, but my love for Estelle will never wane. Slie is a wonderful woman, but our professions caused diverging paths, and this was the rock on which our marital happiness was smashed.”
