KINGSFORD SMITH’S SKILL.
SAFE LANDING AFTER MISHAP.
SYDNEY, Jan. 31. Air-Commodore Kingsford Smith was flying the Southern Cross over Maitland with fourteen passengers when a longeron snapped. He assured the passengers that all would be well if they would trust him. # He spiralled down, pancaking -on to the centre of the racecourse with a bump, but all landed safely.
