KITCHEN TEA.
Members of the congregation of St. David’s Presbyterian Church at Terrace End assembled in large numbers at the church last evening, when a kitchen tea was tendered to Rev. L. G. 13. Whitehead and Miss S. Barr in view of their marriage at an early date.
Mr T. P. Henderson, the choirmaster, who was in charge of the proceedings, expressed congratulations to the guests of the evening and the hope that they would have a long and happy married life. He also handed to them the many gifts presented bv those present. Mr A. C. Allen, on behalf of the congregation, also voiced their good wishes, and Mr Whitehead suitably replied. During the evening a pianoforte duet was contributed by Misses Boag and songs by Miss Sorensen. Miss Day, Mr A. Stewart and Mr J. Murray. Refreshments were provided and a plea.sant gathering concluded with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
