HOROWHENUA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Dec. 15. A general meeting of the Otalii Bowling Club was held last evening, when there was a splendid attendance. Mr 11. Nicolson presided. Letters were read from Air C. Bennett, tho club’s delegate in Wellington, and from the Eastbourne and Pctonc Clubs, all dealing with tournament matters. It was decided that a tournament bo held on January 2 at Otaki, a motion for a two-day tournament being defeated. Mr W. B. Smith was elected umpire, Air W. G. Childs secretary, and Alessrs J. Gillespie, H. L. Bauchainp, J. Bailey, F. W. G. Rule, and T. H. Windley as a committee. Tho wedding took place recently of Mr Alex Bradbury, of Otaki, and Alins Elsie Jensen, of Wellington. Air D. Roxburgh, who has been in indifferent health for sonic time, left yesterday for the Wellington Hospital to undergo further treatment. Air F. Watford left yesterday for Wellington on holiday: after a stay in the Empire City ho will proceed !o Hamilton and Auckland.
