CUBA ST. CHURCH
MEMBERS’ ANNUAL MEETING. There was an attendance of over 50 members and adherents oi the Cuba Street Methodist Church at the Sunday schoolroom last evening, when the annua.l meeting took [dace for the purpose of electing certain office lrearers. Rev. J. D. McArthur presided and accorded the gathering a hearty welcome, remarking upon the very fine spirit of friendliness that was evident in the congregation. After opening with devotional exercises, a pieasant period was spent during which an enjoyable. programme was presented. Those who 'contributed were Mrs A. Murdoch (harp solos). Miss G. doling (vocal solo), Miss L. Perrin (steel guitar solos). Mrs Gourlay (auto-harp solos) and Mrs Coupe (vocal solos). M iss It. iSimmonds played the accompaniments. An interesting competition was also conducted.
The meeting then proceeded to elect the following officers for the ensuing year:—Society stewards: Messrs AV. H. Teague, j. li. Morgan, E. Boniface, H. Hart. H. Hopping, A. E. Cressweil, H. Sandford, F. I). Collis, C. AYoodhead and Dorset. Associate stewards: Messrs E. S. Hoddinott. T. Wilkinson. P. Gourlav and J. D. AVatson. Members’ representatives to quarterly hoard : Mesdanies J. B. Morgan, W. ' FI alt. F. D. Collis. Messrs H. Dittmer, .T. Perrin and AY. AVPeman. Mrs J. S. AYinton was re-appointed re_ prosentative of the Ladies’ Guild. After a. discussion on matters affecting the welfare of the socffity. the Ladies’ Guild dispensed supper. An enjoyable evening wa.s brought to a close with a hymn and the Benediction. aft°r a vote of appreciation had been accorded those who rendered items and members of the guild.
