MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED.

DUNEDIN, Dec. 15. A youth named David James Mears, aged 18, residing at Waitati, died at the hospital this afternoon at 4.15. Ho was riding a motor cycle from Waitati to Dunedin and carrying a pillion passenger, named Frederick Brenssell, aged 19, also of Waitati, when the machine collided with a motor car travelling north. The pair were thrown to the ground. Mears receiving a broken right leg and severe lacerations, while Brensseil suffered a severely lacerated right hand and arm. They were admitted to hospital and Mears died later in the day. Brenssell’s condition is not serious.
