The oratorio “David and Jonathan’’ will bo rendered by the Congregational Church choir, in the church next Sunday evening. The oratorio opens with an overture for the organ which loads into the prologue “Blessed be the Name of God. 1 hen follows the first .part which includes, Ihe Shephord Anointed King and The Champion.” Part two contains the covenant and the parting of the two brothers. Part three is “The Fugitive” opening with the cho-us, “Unto Thee Will I Ci}. Included in this is the beautiful solo, A - though the Fig Tree Shall not Blossom rm_ UL b f.iiftwe “Tho Kinff Comes to Hio Uinmlom ” which includes the choral cpi--logi?e “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel.”
