ACTS IN JUGO-SLAVIA
STORY OF PREPARATIONS FOR
ATTACK,
OFFICIAL PROTEST MADE.
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received December IG, 10.5 a.in. ROME, Dec. 15. Signor Mussolini, addressing the Senate, referred to acts of barbarism in Jugo-Slavia. He said that an official protest had been forwarded to Belgrade against the demonstrations of unceasing hostility to Italy. Signor Mussolini added that certain “Europeans,” posing as pacifists, had invented a ridiculous story that Italy was preparing an attack on Jugoslavia.' Despite the provocation, Italy would not lose her head, but would watch events calmly.
HISTORY CANNOT BE DESTROYED
ROME, Dec. 15. Signor Mussolini, addressing the Senate on acts of barbarism in Jugoslavia, said that those who had destroyed the stone lions of Tran could not destroy history. Those responsible belonged to the highest political circles.
