AUCKLAND, Dec. 19.

A fault in the mailt power lino from Arapttni to Auckland resulted in the failuro of power over a great part of the province for twenty minutes from six o’clock tliis evening. Nearly 200 trams were held up in Auckland although tho peak traffic had passed. Householders were only affected where cooking was used. r J here are three lines available, and when the fault was located smother line was commissioned.
