MANAWATU COMPETITIONS. Comfortable wins were recorded for Combined Services A., Optimists and P.D.C. in the Manawatu Cricket Association’s mid-week competitions, which were continued at the Sportsground yesterday. Several batsmen compiled good scores, though some of tho bowlers had excellent figures. Although Unemployed A mado a good opening knock, Holden scoring 64, Combined Services A had no trouble in passing their total, nnd ran up 193 for eight wickets (declared).
