ROTORUA VANDALS.

ROTORUA. Dec. 22. Strong feeling has been aroused in Rotorua, by the action of some person or persons in sawing through four fine trees in the lowef end of Tutanekai Street. The vandals must have worked quickly during the early hours of Wednesday morning, keeping a sharp lookout for the police and night watchman. The work was done skillfully, and the cut carried just far enough through to prevent the trees falling, yet ensuring their ultimate death. The authorities are sparing no effort to find the culprits.
