FATAL INJURIES.
UNUSUAL ACCIDENT. Per Press Association. WHANGAREI, Dec. 23. Mary McGee, a half-caste Maori, aged 13 years, succumbed to injuries received on the beach at Whangaruru yesterday when a big wave swept her from a log on which she was lying with other children and rolled it over her. Life was extinct when a doctor arrived from Hikurangi, 20 miles distant.
