CHILD DROWNED.
PADDLED OUT OF DEPTH. WANGANUI, Dec. 22. Wading out of her depth while playing on the riverbank at Gonville this afternoon, Jeanett Gilbertson, aged 9, was drowned. She, together with a smaller brother and companion, was paddling in the river when she suddenly got out of her depth and disappeared.
