FOXTON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Dec. 26.
Mr T. Wanklyn has been discharged from the Palmerston North Hospital and is now well on the road to recovery. Mr and Mrs W. Adams, of Wanganui, are visiting Mr and Mrs A. P. Easton. Mr and 3lrs M. H. Walker, of Wellington, are spending a holiday with their son, Air W. Walker.
The weather was particularly hot over tho week-end. Rain fell on Christmas Eve but not sufficient to prevent people from shopping in the evening. Foxton business people report tho Christmas Eve takings well up to previous years. Large crowds patronised the beaches on Sunday, the weather being ideal.
