PAHIATUA, Dec. 24. Air E. Rodney is the guest of Air and Airs Al. Castle, Roflgomai. Air G. R. Taylor, Wellington, is in Pahiatua. Air F. L. Chatwin, Wellington, is spending the Christmas and New Year holidays with lilts parents. AlrS. V. Rodney is spending the Christmas and New Year holidays with Air and Airs Swaiiioon, Alanakau. Aliss Adrienne Boyd has gone to New Plymouth. Air and Airs A. Hollings, Wellington, are visiting Air and Aim J. J. Boagey, and will then continue their trip to Taihapc, where they will be the guests of Air and Airs J. A. Graham. Airs Harry l’oolc and her daughter, of l’ongaroa, who have been visiting All's Frank Sewell, Carterton, returned home. Air and Alns W. Alan Wilson are with relatives in Wellington. During the holidays, guests of All- and All's J..D. Wilson will bo Airs Reid (Dunedin), Air and Airs G. D. Wilson and Afr W. A. Wilson (Hastings), and Air and Airs R. G. Beard (Kimboltcn). Airs Styles, soar., of Pahaitua, is an inmate of the Pahiatua Hospital, where shu underwent an operation.
A pretty wedding was solemnised at the Alethodist Church, Eketahuna, on Wednesday, Rev. 11. Benny officiating, when Gladys Jane, eldest" daughter of Air and Airs R. Whiteman, of Tawataia, was married to James Neil, fouth soil of All's AI. Hanson, Kaiparoro. Airs C. AfcLaughlan played the wedding music. One bankruptcy was recorded locally during tho present month, making a total of nine for the year. Tho number last year was five, there being none during the De cember month.
