SEVEN CHILDREN PERISH.

GRIM FIRE TRAGEDY. LONDON, Dec. 24. Fire broke out this morning in a two-roomed house in the Poore district of Birmingham occupied by Mr Patrick AVeir, a crippled unemployed ex-serviceman, and liis family. They were caught like rats in a trap. Seven of Mr AVeirs children, whose ages ranged from 3 to 13 years, are dead. Mr AA’eir yns found almost naked, having apparently jumped from the bedroom window. He was taken to hospital with his wife and seven-montlis-old baby. Three firemen were injured.
