CENTRE OF EARTH TREMOR.
BELIEVED TO BE IN TIBET. SYDNEY, Dec. 27. The earthquake recorded on Christmas Day originated 6040 miles northwest of Sydney, somewhere in Tibet. The tremors began at 12.17 p.m. and lasted till 4 p.m. They were nearly as severe as those of the Japanese earthquake.
