VALUE OF A PLAY.
Twenty years ago Charlie Chaplin wrote a playlet, “Twelve Just Men,” and sold the copyright for £5 to Ernie Lotinga, the actor-producer, who placed it in his safe (says a London message). Clrapliif’s agents have now offered Lotinga £SOOO for the play, but he asks £IO,OOO for it. Negotiations are in progress.
