HIS MAJESTY’S CARE. LONDON, Oct. 3. The Earl of Harewood, in a speech at Yorkshire, said that one reason why the Victoria Cross was ahead of all other honours was that His Majesty guarded its award. The King told him that he personally examined every recommendation before he allowed it to go through.
