LABOUR PEER ADVOCATES REFORM. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.' Received October 4, 12.25 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 3. At the Labour Party Conference, Lord Ponsonby said that only someone sitting m the House of Lords realised the necessity for its abolition. “I welcome the Socialist League’s proposal to ask the King to appoint six hundred new peers, but doubt whether it is the best method of tackling the problem, as revision of the whole Parliamentary machine is essential,” he added.
