SEQUEL TO POTATO BAN. VICTORIA AS A DEFENDANT. Received October 4, 11.50 a.m. MELBOURNE, Oct. 4. A writ lias been issued out of the High Court on behalf of the State of Tasmania against the State of Victoria and Hon. John Allen, Minister of Agriculture, in respect of the ban on the importation of potatoes into Victoria from Tasmania. Plaintiff seeks an injunction to restrain defendants from enforcing the proclamation prohibiting Victorian merchants importing Tasmanian potatoes.
